The aero bed is great. My 5 year old slept on it four nights. Size seemed ok. There is a little noise when moving around, but nothing I was concerned about. The pump worked great, and it seems like the bed is high quality. I would recommend this to anyone. I would think that a kid older than 6 and a half might be too big for it.
We received this a few days before a family vacation.We told my son this was a new big boy bed (he had been sleeping in a crib).He was so excited he slept in it the first night and every nap until we left for vacation. It is so easy to travel with and sets up so quickly. We had a great trip and he napped and slept in it without a problem. He would ask to sleep in his big boy bed. After returning home we transitioned him to a toddler bed. This is big enough to use for a fewyears and perfect for travel.
My mother-in-law bought one so our 1 year old had a place to sleep at her house. It worked so well, we decided to purchase one too. The ridge provides just enough support that our son will not roll out while sleeping. The protective sheet is very soft and plush while the bed itself is very supportive. I weigh 175 lbs and have laid on it with no problems. It is very compact, and can be taken anywhere. It inflates and deflates in under 10 seconds and stores in a sleeping bag case.
I love it except the squeaking. Now I solved that problem with BABY POWDER buy putting it inbetween the mattress pad and the bed itself. I rubed it all over that side and sprinkeld BABY POWDER on the floor where the bed would be setting at night. After I did that when I went to lay on it to see if it worked that way. And it did so I recomoned that to everyone who bought one. After that i had no problems. I Bought it to use on Hunting trips because i wanted something cheap and durable. I weigh 240lbs and It's Recomonded that it supports children up to 150 lbs. I'm 6'3" and it fits me perfectly. I love it. Best Air bed i have bought in years. It's comfortalbe soft and firm at the same time. The first night I used it, I slept Like A Baby sound Asleep.
I don't even need a pillow because of the raised sides. I laid on my side with my head on the rasied side and it was comfortable and contoured my head. So I recomeoned This Air bed to any one.
I was looking for something easy to inflate and would also be compact when deflated and in storage - This product does both of those things perfectly.
The day we inflated it my 20 month old daughter was so excited. She loved it!
I like that it comes with the fitted sheet.
The bag it stores in also has enough room to hold a blanket and pillow so when going on the road you can put the kids bedding in there and you are on your way.
We just bought a second one for our 7 week old.... A bit early, but we love them
My daughter also has juped form the hotel bed onto the aerobed a number of times (yes we ask her not too, but it's too tempting!) and she has done no damage what so ever.
I think this will last a while and grow with them well.
I bought this bed because I thought it would be an alternative to the portable play yard that my 2 year old son HATES. I read the information on Amazon about this bed and read some of the reviews. There was not one word about this bed being for kids 3 and older. So, I ordered the bed and the first thing I notice on the box is "For ages 3+". I feel that this information should be in bold letters right next to the name of the bed. All that being said, I am trying it out right now with him for his naps. He fell asleep pretty quickly and is sleeping pretty sound. I am happy so far.
